Merdas continues a journey that began in 1991, when the founders entered the field of travertine extraction and supply, laying the foundation for a distinguished legacy in Iran’s stone industry. In 2021, a new chapter began when Mojtaba Shahzaidi, Cyrus Radmehr, and Reza Jalali came together to establish Merdas Stone.

Founded on a family stone legacy dating back to 1991, Merdas Stone originates from the ownership and operation of travertine quarries in Iran. Built on decades of hands-on expertise, the brand was formally established in 2021 to deliver an integrated, global stone operation. With branches in Iran, Dubai, and Australia, Merdas offers a curated selection of premium natural stones for luxury architecture, landscape, and interior applications. Full control over quarrying, processing, and logistics allows us to ensure consistency, precision, and transparency from source to site. Merdas stones have been used in landmark projects across the Middle East, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia—including the Tehran Mosalla Mosque—reflecting a fusion of Persian heritage and modern craftsmanship. We partner with architects, designers, and developers to deliver timeless materials and tailored stone solutions worldwide.
